(Kansas City, MO) – Grab your partner, and cut a rug at SWINGIN’ SUNSET AT CITY MARKET, Saturday, July 20, 7:00 -10:00 p.m. with the Kansas Citians Big Band presented by City Market and the Philharmonia of Greater KC. Jump n’ jive to the best of 30s & 40s swing with special guest emcee Michael McQuary, Man of 1001 Faces, who will keep the program hopping.
Wear your dancing shoes and bring a chair. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dancers, Best Dressed and more.
New to dancing? Show up for SWING 101, 30-minute lessons in basic steps at 7:00 pm. and 8:30 p.m.
Not a dancer? Just come and enjoy the scene, and try your hand at playing one of many instruments in the musical petting zoo.
Enjoy refreshing cocktails and other beverages from Brown & Loe. Grab something delicious at one of your favorite City Market restaurants. Shared picnic tables will be available.
