Be Part of the Art on First Fridays

City Market is in the First Friday spirit showcasing local artists who will demo their techniques and exhibit their works every First Friday through November 6-9 p.m. in Pavilion 1. This is a FREE event.

Check out fantastic textiles, prints, jewelry, visual art, even body art! We also offer a fun painting class* so you can actually BE an artist.

Support local artists and get into the true spirit of First Friday creativity. Be sure to stop by the event to pick up an exclusive coupon so you can get a 15% discount at your favorite City Market restaurant. City Market has easy free evening parking.

Dig In! Farm-to-Table Dinner

Join Cultivate KC for our 8th Annual Dig In! Farm-to-Table Benefit Dinner, a celebration that showcases food grown in Kansas City by local farmers. This year’s five-course meal and signature cocktails will be created by:

Ticket holders may check-in at our Grub Crawl check-in booth in City Market Square beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, where they will receive a Grub Crawl passport that entitles the holder a sample at each stop listed. Each ticket also includes a keepsake canvas tote.

Yoga in City Market Park

Sundays through September

9am – 10am 

Enjoy a mindful morning workout with Yoga In City Market Park sponsored by KC Counseling Studio. Get your body moving and then shop the Farmers Market.

Every Sunday through September at 9am, KC Counseling Studio provides FREE 60-minute all-age/levels yoga classes. Please bring your own mat or blanket.

The City Market is all about creating a fun, fresh community through healthy nutrition and activities. KC Counseling Studio is focused on balancing physical and spiritual wellness. Both share a sunny outlook.

Friends of the Kansas City Public Library Summer Book Sale

First Saturdays through October

9am – 2pm

Shop the Friends of the Kansas City Public Library Summer Book Sale, first Saturdays through October in the glass atrium walkway just north of the Arabia Steamboat Museum (400 Grand Blvd). The space is air conditioned. 

Pricing: $2 for recent new release hardbacks; $1 other hardbacks; $1 – Audio Books, DVD, Blue Ray; 25 cents CDs; 50 cents paperbacks. Some special items separately priced. Cash or check only.

Art of the Machine Car Show Series

Sundays through October

10am – 2pm 

The Art of the Machine Car series welcomes local car clubs and enthusiasts on Sundays just inside the entrance to City Market at 5th & Walnut. Clubs bookings are ongoing, so check back often. Confirmed clubs follow:
