CITY MARKET DOG POLICY

Please note that due to a city ordinance the City Market rules concerning dogs are as follows:

Within the City Market Square, pavilions, tenant walkways, stores & offices dogs are not allowed at all times. This is to maintain the health & safety of food products and for Market patrons. This includes dogs being held by hand as well. Dogs serving in official ADA capacity are exempt from this policy.

In the City Market Park please remember that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Also, please remember that it is the owners' responsibility to clean up after their dog as well. For your convenience, waste stations are provided in the park. If bags are unavailable, please provide your own. While we strive to provide the convenient service of keeping bags stocked at all times, it is a good idea to bring some with you just in case. This is so the entire public may enjoy the City Market Park.

Thank You!

Goode Acres

John Goode
Wathena, KS

Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays

John Goode of Goode Acres comes out to the City Market during the Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Goode Acres is a small farm located in Wathena, Kansas. They have been providing naturally grown produce to the Kansas City area since 1986. They are in process of becoming a certified organic grower.

Goode Acres offers items such as tomatoes, Swiss chard, greens, beets, lavender.  They also have a wide variety of starter plants of herbs, veggies and flowers.  They also offer drop off service and central point drop off services.  Stewardship of the land is very important to Goode Acres. Occasional demand requires Goode Acres to supplement through local Amish growers.

Good Acres also takes part in the City Market’s SNAP / EBT card program. To learn more about this program, contact the City Market office at 816.842.1271.

Be Free Bakers

Jennifer Ward
Lee's Summit, MO

Saturdays & Sundays

Be Free Bakers has created yummy, full-flavored, natural-ingredient baking mixes so you can enjoy amazing, good-for-you, right-out-of-the-oven, healthier baked goodies--more whole grains with high fiber, high protein, more iron and potassium! It's really easy - most mixes only ask for 4 or less ingredients to be added. Best of all, you get to eat them warm right out of your own oven, where and when you want them!

The goal of Be Free Bakers is to provide you with an absolutely delicious, good-for-you treat that anyone with or without an allergy can enjoy any time. We use only the highest quality ingredients purchased from companies with integrity. More than 50% of our ingredients are organic, and we’re striving to raise that number. The main ingredient in most of their products is whole grain teff flour, a high-protein, high-fiber, high-iron & potassium-content grain that was first cultivated in Ethiopia around 4,000 B.C.E. The reason they use teff is because of its incredible nutrient values and excellent baking properties.
